Understanding How Hypnosis Can Help

The intention of this site is to give you a more accurate understanding of what hypnosis is and how Mind Talk Hypnosis may be of service to you.

Hypnosis can tend to be shrouded in mystery and misconceptions, usually unveiled as a last resort for many people just as it was for me.  Whether they finally decide to give it a try out of curiosity or sheer desperation when so much else has failed, I can relate.

Unfortunately, I was not aware of hypnosis to be a valid option as a solution for any of the problems I faced in the first place.  I did not even consider it as a possibility until someone finally told me their own personal story of success with hypnosis. I wish I had discovered it sooner. I would have saved myself a lot of time, money and heartache.

There are many people who have heard of the wonderful results accomplished through hypnosis and feel that it could also be helpful to them. There are also many people not as open to the idea who have acquired misinformation about hypnosis whether from movies, novels, television or stage entertainment that they’ve seen or heard about. The fact is that most have a misconception of what hypnosis is or what all it can truly accomplish in reality.

If a suggestion that is not appealing is given to a person while in the hypnotic state, one of two things would happen: the person in the hypnotic state would either ignore the suggestion or would bring himself out of the hypnotic state.

While the idea may be entertaining for stage or media audiences, truthfully a hypnotist does not possess any type of power or gift. The only special skills a hypnotist does posses are those s/he has learned in order to give suggestions that the subconscious mind will accept, and then act on those suggestions in a positive, helpful way.

Please read the Hypnosis Q&A page for more information to answer questions you may have about hypnosis.  Take advantage of your COMPLIMENTARY CONSULTATION to discover what hypnosis is all about and how it may help you as an individual. Your consultation can be scheduled for over the phone or in the office. It includes answering any questions you may have about hypnosis and how the process can work for you specifically to meet your needs and goals.  This is an oppurtunity to learn what it will be like to partner together and will include a responsiveness exercise.

You may review my Services and please note a $50 deposit is due prior to Book An Appointment online.  This deposit is refundable and may be applied to any session(s) by giving at least 24 hours advanced notice should there be a need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
